Our story
Fifty years of putting color to paper.
Liqui-Mark has been a manufacturer and importer of high-quality, innovative writing and drawing instruments since 1974. From a single Brooklyn workshop to a full-line manufacturer in Hauppauge, New York, one thing hasn't changed: a commitment to safe, vibrant products built to last.
Built by makers, for makers.
In 1974, Stuart Goodelman started Liqui-Mark in Brooklyn, New York, manufacturing private-label markers and pens for the country's largest mass marketers. By 1985, that expertise grew into a branded line of Liqui-Mark products of our own.
As demand grew, so did we — relocating to Long Island in 1994 and assembling a talented team of marketing, R&D and sales people that expanded the range into a well-respected catalog for retail and commercial customers alike. In 2005, we added a Promotional Products Division with in-house printing, and moved into our larger Hauppauge facility, where we still manufacture today.
Liqui-Mark markers and pens span a spectrum of styles and colors — from washable and watercolor markers for children to highlighters, roller ball, gel, stick and retractable pens for older students and adults. People of all ages use our products in their homes and classrooms across the country.
